Joshua Jones Remembered as Family Mourns His Passing Following Fatal Accident

The Pahokee community is mourning the loss of Joshua Jones, 39, who died following a dirt bike accident on Christmas Day. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Jones was riding a Yamaha dirt bike northbound on Lake Avenue at approximately 5:38 p.m. when the incident occurred.
Authorities stated that at the same time, a woman driving a Dodge Charger was turning from southbound Lake Avenue onto eastbound E. 4th Street. As she completed the turn, Jones’s dirt bike came into contact with the right side of the vehicle. As a result of the collision, Jones was thrown from the bike and came to rest just north of the intersection.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. Despite medical efforts, officials confirmed that Joshua Jones was pronounced dead at 6:38 p.m. His next of kin has been notified, according to law enforcement.
