Officials Provide Update on Traffic-Related Incident Involving Everett Trotman on Graham Road

Authorities responded to a traffic-related incident late Monday night on Graham Road after reports of an abrupt stop that led to a collision. According to officials, a vehicle suddenly slowed down in front of another car, resulting in a crash that left debris on the roadway and drew the attention of nearby residents.
Police arrived shortly after 10 p.m. and spoke with the driver, identified as 30-year-old Everett Trotman. Officers said he appeared disoriented and did not fully cooperate with initial instructions at the scene. They noted that he declined field evaluations typically used during traffic investigations, which triggered standard administrative procedures under state guidelines.
Two passengers inside Trotman’s vehicle appeared shaken from the impact and were assessed by emergency personnel. Out of precaution, two individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Officials have not released specific updates regarding their conditions as the review continues.
Trotman was transported by police shortly after midnight as part of the ongoing inquiry. Authorities are currently working to piece together the sequence of events, reviewing available footage and speaking with witnesses to determine the factors that led to the collision.
Community members have expressed hope that the investigation will help clarify what happened and reinforce the importance of staying alert and practicing safe driving habits on the road. Officials say additional information will be shared once the review is complete.
