The Monroe County community is mourning the tragic loss of Joshua M. Wilson, a 36-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio, whose life was taken in a fatal traffic crash on Christmas Day. The incident occurred on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at approximately 1:38 p.m. on South Telegraph Road, southwest of East Temperance Road, in Erie Township. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Joshua was traveling southwest on South Telegraph Road in a gray 2003 Toyota Camry when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and entered a ditch. The car continued along the ditch line before striking a tree, resulting in a violent impact that caused Joshua to be ejected from the vehicle. The Toyota then rotated, overturned, and re-entered the roadway, where it came to rest on its passenger side. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, Joshua was pronounced deceased at the scene.
