Engine 2 arrived at a local business and found two heavy-duty plow trucks fully involved in flames.

The trucks had been used extensively throughout the week during blizzard recovery operations. Several additional plow trucks, various pieces of heavy equipment, and a nearby maintenance building were at risk as the fire intensified.

Lieutenant Greg Bradstreet requested a recall for additional staffing, resulting in Engine 1, Tanker 1, and Car 1 responding to assist at the scene.

Fire crews were able to halt the spread of the fire, successfully limiting the damage to the two original vehicles involved.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials stated that the trucks had been parked for more than 24 hours after logging over 100 hours of operation each during storm response efforts. No suspicious activity was reported.
