Kansas City, Missouri: Keithlin Royster Identified in Fatal Road Rage Incident

KANSAS CITY — Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal shooting along a major roadway in Kansas City as Keithlin Royster, an adult male who died in what investigators believe may have been a road rage incident.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched just before 11:20 a.m. to the area near 71 Highway and Blue River Road after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Royster inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary information suggests the shooting may have resulted from a confrontation related to road rage. However, investigators said it is still unclear where the incident began or what events led up to the fatal encounter. Law enforcement officials canvassed portions of 71 Highway, from Gregory Boulevard to the scene, searching for evidence that could help establish a timeline.
Authorities have not released any suspect information, and no arrests have been announced. The investigation remains ongoing as deputies continue to gather and review evidence.
