Police Respond to Evergreen Shooting Incident, Suspect Confirmed Dead

EVERGREEN COLORADO, Authorities are responding to a reported active shooter incident in the 32000 block of Ellingwood Trail in Evergreen, Colorado, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).
Law enforcement officials confirmed that the suspected individual was found deceased at the scene from what authorities described as a self-inflicted gunshot injury.
Deputies secured the surrounding area as part of their ongoing response and investigation.
At this time, officials have not provided details regarding possible victims, including whether anyone else was injured or lost their life during the incident.
Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jenny Kelley stated that information about victims — including the total number of people affected — was not immediately available.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has set up a media staging area at the RTD parking lot near Bergen Parkway and Evergreen Parkway as investigators continue their work.
