Police Arrest Man After Alleged Attempted Abduction at Walmart

LINCOLNTON NORTH CAROLINA, A 25-year-old man has been arrested following an alleged attempted abduction and assault at a Walmart store, according to local authorities.
Tristan Blain Coleman is facing charges including attempted kidnapping, assault on a female, and two counts of indecent liberties with a child, court records show.
The incident reportedly occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart on North Generals Boulevard in Lincolnton, approximately 35 miles northwest of Charlotte. Police allege Coleman approached a girl under the age of 16, grabbed her, and attempted to lead her out of the store without parental consent.
Charging documents state that he allegedly attempted to unlawfully restrain the minor for the purpose of committing a felony offense. Investigators also allege that he may have taken an inappropriate photograph involving the child.
Before leaving the store, Coleman is further accused of assaulting another girl under the age of 16 and grabbing an adult woman by the shoulder, according to police reports. Authorities have not released the exact ages of the minors involved.
Police said Coleman fled the scene but was later located and arrested. He was taken to the Lincoln County Jail. A bond hearing was scheduled, though details of the outcome were not immediately available. As of Monday morning, he remained in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
