Juan Antonio Garcia Named Person of Interest in Disappearance of Aurelia Choc Cac

AURELIA CHOC, On January 31, 2026, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence in the 9000 block of Ben Hamilton Road in reference to the suspicious disappearance of a mother and two children.
The mother has been identified as Aurelia Choc Cac, 40, described as having black hair, standing 5 feet tall, weighing about 140 pounds, and last seen wearing a maroon jacket with tan joggers.
The missing children include a 17-year-old girl, Niurka Zuleta Choc, described as having black hair, standing 5’1, weighing approximately 100 pounds, and last seen wearing a black top with plaid pants.
The second child is a 2-year-old boy, Anthony Garcia Choc, weighing about 30 pounds, with black hair, and last seen wearing a cartoon character hoodie with blue jeans.
Authorities said the family of three was last seen around 3:00 p.m. the previous day at their residence. During the investigation, officials reported signs of a struggle inside the home.
A person of interest has been identified as a Hispanic male, Juan Antonio Garcia, born June 14, 1994, age 30, who reportedly has ties to Amarillo, Texas.

Officials stated they believe the mother, daughter, and young son may have been taken against their will and could be in danger.
