Guthrie Couple Identified After Fatal Murder-Suicide in Logan County

LOGAN COUNTY, officials have confirmed the identities of two people found dead inside a residence Sunday evening as Meredith Kimani, also known as Meredith Hipshire, and her husband, Mark Kimani. Authorities said the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide.
According to law enforcement, Mark Kimani allegedly shot and killed Meredith before taking his own life. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers were dispatched to the home near North Midwest Boulevard and East County Road 76 around 6:20 p.m. following a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon entering the residence, deputies discovered the couple deceased. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident, and the medical examiner responded to assist with the investigation. Officials said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Investigators have not released full details regarding the events that led up to the shooting and said the circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation.
