Authorities Respond to Serious Incident Under Investigation in Fort Smith
FORT SMITH — Authorities are investigating a serious incident in the 2800 block of Independence Street as Fort Smith police continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the case.
According to the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD), officers responded to the area and discovered two individuals — a man and a woman — who were pronounced deceased at the scene. Police later identified them as Mark Bell, 48, and Deevelyn Bell, 46.
Officials confirmed that the bodies have been transported to the state crime lab for examination as part of standard investigative procedures.
