Man Injured in Stabbing at Gilroy Safeway, Authorities Investigating

Police investigating: Authorities in Gilroy, California say they are investigating a stabbing reported Monday morning near the Safeway on 1st Street that left a 52-year-old man injured.
Police and emergency crews responded after receiving reports of a disturbance involving two individuals near the store. Officers found the injured man conscious with a wound described as non-life-threatening. He was treated at the scene and taken for additional medical evaluation.
Investigators say the incident began as an argument and then escalated. The other individual involved left the area before responders arrived and has not been located.
Gilroy Police said a case has been opened and detectives are working to identify and find the suspect. Anyone who witnessed what happened or may have information is asked to contact the Gilroy Police Department.
