Eli Harmon, 41, Identified in Shooting After Altercation Near Louisville

LOUISVILLE GEORGIA, Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured following an altercation near Louisville, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said the incident occurred on March 13, when a confrontation involving multiple individuals reportedly escalated into violence.
During the altercation, gunfire broke out, resulting in three people being struck by gunshots.
One of the victims, 41-year-old Eli Harmon Jr. of Louisville, was transported to Jefferson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The two additional victims were injured in the shooting but received treatment at the hospital and were later released, according to authorities.
Following Harmon’s death, his body was transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Laboratory, where an autopsy was conducted on Monday, March 16, as part of the ongoing investigation.
Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, including who was directly involved in the altercation and who may have fired the shots.
Detectives continue to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses as part of the case.
