Charlotte Light Rail Station Area: One Dead After Fatal Stabbing, Police Investigate
Medic Confirms one person died after a stabbing reported near Charlotte’s 25th Street Blue Line station, prompting a temporary service disruption as police investigate.
According to Medic officials, the incident happened at Brevard Street and East 25th Street, near the 25th Street station. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the report, the Charlotte Area Transit System temporarily halted light rail service at the 25th Street station. To keep riders moving, CATS implemented a bus bridge operating between CTC Station uptown and 36th Street in NoDa.
Police have not released additional details about what led to the stabbing or whether any suspects have been identified. Officers remained on scene, and the investigation was ongoing at the time of the information provided.
CATS advised commuters to expect delays and use alternate stations while service remains disrupted. Officials also urged anyone with information related to the incident to contact authorities.
