Orrville California Shooting Leaves One Dead and One Injured
ORRVILLE CALIFORNIA, Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another critically injured Thursday evening, Jan. 22, in Orrville.
According to the Orrville Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the Mineral Springs area near North Vine Street. When authorities arrived, they found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Emergency crews requested assistance from Metro LifeFlight as part of the medical response, and multiple EMS units were dispatched to provide care to both patients. Additional activity was reported along Perry Street near the Orrville Municipal Power Plant, where first responders worked to stabilize the injured individual before hospital transport.
During the investigation and emergency response, police temporarily closed Mineral Springs east of Sterling Avenue. Officials later confirmed that there was no ongoing threat to public safety.
In a statement, the Orrville Police Department said the incident occurred at Mineral Springs near North Vine Street and emphasized that the public is not in danger. Authorities noted that further information will be shared as it becomes available.
