Morrisville NC Shooting at Park West Village Leaves Zachary David Horn Dead, Suspect Charged

MORRISVILLE NC, One man has died and another is facing a murder charge following a shooting Monday night at a Morrisville shopping center, according to authorities.
Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 1105 block of Market Center Drive at Park West Village, located between Crumbl Cookie – Park West Village and Ruckus Pizza, Pasta & Spirits – Morrisville. Upon arrival, they found 45-year-old Zachary David Horn, of Morrisville, suffering from a gunshot wound. Horn was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
John Willis Fraizer III, 55, also of Morrisville, has been charged with murder and discharging a firearm within city limits, according to court documents. An arrest warrant alleges that Fraizer discharged a .22 caliber revolver during the incident.
Zek Silva, general manager of Ruckus Pizza, said that following the shooting, the suspect entered the restaurant. Silva stated that a bystander helped subdue and disarm the individual. He then attempted to render aid to Horn until emergency responders arrived. Horn later died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.
Court records show that Fraizer previously pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon in Charlotte in 1995.
The shooting occurred less than a mile from the Camden Westwood Apartments, where firefighters were responding to a large fire Monday night, contributing to a significant emergency presence in the area.
Police have not released information regarding a possible motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
Horn is survived by his three daughters.
Fraizer is identified in public records as a principal engineer at Oracle Corporation and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Authorities have not indicated whether his employment or military background is related to the case.
