Lochearn Dwelling Fire Under Investigation After Emergency Response

LOCHEARN, MD., Fire crews responded to a reported dwelling fire in the Lochearn area of Baltimore County near the intersection of Carl Avenue and Saint Lukes Lane.
Upon arrival, first responders encountered heavy fire conditions coming from the rear of a two-and-a-half-story single-family residence.
Initial reports suggested a possible entrapment, but officials later confirmed that all occupants were safely accounted for.
Firefighters initiated both interior and exterior suppression efforts, applying water to the flames to bring the fire under control.
During operations, the driver of Engine 331 reportedly collapsed at the scene, leading to an immediate request for emergency medical services. The firefighter was treated by EMS personnel. The individual’s condition has not been publicly disclosed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities have not released additional details at this time.
A significant emergency response remained in the area as crews conducted overhaul procedures and ensured the structure was secure.
