According to the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, investigators have spent the past eight days working with private-sector partners to recover critical digital evidence from Guthrie’s residence.

Officials said portions of video data had been lost, corrupted, or rendered inaccessible due to several factors, including the apparent removal of recording devices from the home.

The footage was ultimately recovered from residual data stored within backend systems, investigators said.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the newly uncovered images appear to show a masked, armed individual tampering with the camera at Guthrie’s front door on the morning she disappeared. Authorities said the images are being released publicly in hopes of generating new leads in the case.

Officials urged anyone with information related to the disappearance to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov.

Senior law enforcement officials told NBC News that investigators are expected to release an additional surveillance photo of a possible suspect as the search continues.

The update comes as Guthrie’s daughter, Savannah Guthrie, issued a public plea for help in a video shared on social media. The “Today” show host described the family as being at what she called “an hour of desperation,” saying they believe their mother is still alive and asking the public for assistance.

Investigators believe Nancy Guthrie may have been taken from her home. She was last seen on Jan. 31 and was reported missing the following day after she did not attend church services.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos previously said DNA testing confirmed that blood found on Guthrie’s front porch belonged to her.

Authorities also reported that Guthrie’s doorbell camera had been disconnected during the early morning hours, which investigators described as a concerning development.

Detectives and federal agents have continued investigative activity at multiple locations connected to the case.

Over the weekend, authorities were seen conducting investigative work at the home of Guthrie’s daughter, located about four miles from Nancy Guthrie’s residence. Investigators were also observed searching an underground tank behind Guthrie’s property.

Despite the extensive search efforts, officials said they have not yet identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to the disappearance.

Authorities have expressed growing concern for Guthrie’s health, noting that she requires daily medication and has several serious medical conditions, including a pacemaker, high blood pressure, and heart-related issues.

The investigation remains active, and officials said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
