AVON, MASS, Two people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a home in Avon early Thursday morning, authorities said.
The incident occurred on Page Street shortly before 1 a.m., when a car struck the front of a residence. Officials said the vehicle slammed into the front door of the home, causing significant damage.
The impact ripped the front door from its frame and damaged the exterior siding. A nearby window and the home’s mailbox were also broken as a result of the crash.
Firefighters responded to the scene and confirmed that two individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. No information was released regarding the severity of those injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not released additional details at this time.
