Alex Rutherford, Ontario Educator at R.H. King Academy, Has Died

Community mourning: The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is mourning the death of educator Alex Rutherford Kane, who was remembered by colleagues as a dedicated teacher known for supporting students in and out of the classroom.

According to information shared within the school community, she most recently worked with TDSB as an LTO Family Studies teacher. Before that, she also served as a supply teacher with the Peel District School Board, where colleagues described her as patient, caring, and committed to student success.

Her education included studies at Western University and York University. She was also a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers.
