Missing Person Alert: 14-Year-Old Harleigh Shew Last Seen in Harrisburg

Authorities and family members are asking for the public’s help in locating Harleigh Shew, a 14-year-old girl who has been reported missing from Harrisburg, Illinois, and may currently be in the Mt. Vernon area.
Harleigh has been missing since Saturday, December 27, 2025. Family members say her disappearance is out of character and are increasingly concerned for her safety.
According to information provided by authorities, Harleigh was last seen at approximately 10:45 p.m. leaving a friend’s residence in Harrisburg, Illinois. Relatives report she may have left with a 19-year-old male identified only as Ethan, whose last name is unknown and who is believed to be from Mt. Vernon, Illinois. It is possible Harleigh is currently in or around the Mt. Vernon area with this individual.
Harleigh Shew is described as a white female, 14 years old, standing approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing around 100 pounds. She has brown/blonde hair with pink coloring and blue eyes.
At the time she was last seen, Harleigh was wearing black leggings, a light pink hoodie, a black jacket, and cheetah-print shoes. She was in possession of her cellphone when she left, but it has since been turned off, and her family has not been able to make contact with her.
Authorities and family members are urging anyone who may have seen Harleigh Shew, knows her current whereabouts, or has any information that could help locate her to contact law enforcement immediately.
