Mantua, VA Incident: Two Killed, Two Hospitalized Following Domestic Stabbing and Shooting Investigation

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA, A Fairfax County police officer fatally shot a knife-wielding man early Monday morning following a domestic-related stabbing that left one woman dead and two other adults critically injured, authorities said.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, officers responded to the 3900 block of Persimmon Circle in the Mantua area after receiving reports of a violent incident at a residence.

When officers arrived, they encountered a man armed with a knife. Police said the suspect did not comply with commands, and an officer discharged his firearm, striking the man. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Inside the residence, officers located three additional adults — one man and two women — suffering from stab wounds. All three victims were transported to area hospitals. One of the women later died from her injuries. The second woman and the male victim remain hospitalized in life-threatening condition.
In a statement shared publicly, police described the situation as a domestic-related assault. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or clarified the relationships between the individuals.
The officer involved in the shooting has not been publicly identified. In accordance with standard procedure, the officer-involved shooting will undergo a comprehensive review.
