Missing Brazos County Woman’s Truck Found Burned in Suspected Arson

BRAZOS COUNTY TEXAS, Authorities are searching for a 53-year-old woman after her pickup truck was found burned in what investigators believe was an act of arson.

Nicole “Nikki” Winder was last seen around 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 19000 block of FM 974 in Brazos County. About an hour later, at approximately 4 p.m., her white 2025 Chevrolet pickup truck with black rims was discovered on fire in the same area, according to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators stated that evidence at the scene indicates the vehicle fire was intentionally set.

Law enforcement officials have asked residents in the surrounding area to review security and game camera footage recorded between 3 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. in an effort to identify any suspicious activity.

Winder is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with green eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt and pink pants.

Authorities have stated that Winder may be in danger and that her whereabouts remain unknown. Officials have not confirmed whether foul play is involved beyond the suspected arson of the vehicle.
