Officials later identified the individuals as Lorelei Strickland and her husband, Jarrott Strickland. Reports indicate that both were found in a bedroom of the home.

Investigators believe that Jarrott Strickland fatally shot his wife before turning the weapon on himself in what is being treated as a murder-suicide.

Authorities have not released the ages of the couple or how long they had lived in the Stone Mill Creek community. Officials also confirmed that no other injuries were reported and there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. They added that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is working alongside sheriff’s investigators to establish a timeline of events and conduct autopsies.

The sheriff’s office stated that the investigation remains active as detectives continue processing the scene and speaking with neighbors and family members to understand the circumstances leading up to the incident.
