Ewell Fatal Stabbing Investigated After Attack Outside Wheatsheaf Pub

Investigation launched: Surrey Police said they have opened a murder investigation after a person was fatally stabbed outside The Wheatsheaf pub on Kingston Road in Ewell, near Epsom, on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called following reports of a serious assault. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite medical assistance, police said.
Officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries, gathering witness accounts, and reviewing CCTV footage to establish the circumstances leading up to the incident. Police have not released the victim’s identity, and no arrests were confirmed in the information available at the time of this report.
Police said road closures were in place on Kingston Road, causing delays around Ewell and Epsom, and motorists were advised to use alternative routes while officers worked at the scene.
Surrey Police are asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, or who has dash-cam or CCTV that may help, to contact the force via official reporting channels. Further updates are expected as confirmed information becomes available.
