Forest Park Shooting: Shaunterrio Hudson Dies After Crash While Trying to Get Help

FOREST PARK GA, Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that led to a crash early Monday morning in Forest Park, leaving a 36-year-old man dead.
According to the Forest Park Police Department, officers and emergency personnel were dispatched at approximately 2:00 a.m. after reports of gunfire, a vehicle crash, and a person calling for help in the area of Bartlett Road and Watts Road.
Upon arrival, first responders located a BMW 530i that had crashed into a tree at the intersection.
Nearby, they found the driver, identified as 36-year-old Shaunterrio Hudson, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite being critically injured, investigators said Hudson was able to exit the vehicle and call out for assistance.
A nearby individual who heard the disturbance contacted emergency services, leading to a rapid response.
Hudson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary findings indicate that Hudson had been driving along Watts Road when another vehicle approached. An occupant of that vehicle reportedly fired multiple shots through the driver’s side window, striking Hudson.
After being shot, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree at the intersection.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting with the case, which remains an active homicide investigation.
Authorities have not released any suspect information at this time.
