Woman Accused of Fatally Shooting Boyfriend and His Parents in Shocking Case

CRETE TOWNSHIP ILLINOIS, Jenna Strouble, a 30-year-old woman from St. John, Indiana, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of her on-and-off boyfriend and his parents at their home in Illinois.
According to authorities, Strouble has been charged with nine counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 32-year-old Jacob Lambert and his parents, Stacy Forde, 54, and Patrick Forde, 55. Officials noted that Illinois law allows multiple counts to be filed in a single case under the “one good count” rule.
Investigators said Strouble and Lambert had a complicated, on-and-off relationship and shared children together.
Deputies from the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence in unincorporated Crete Township early Monday morning, around 2 a.m., after receiving a request for a welfare check.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Lambert’s body inside a vehicle parked in the driveway. His parents were found deceased inside the home near the front entrance.
Authorities reported that Strouble left the scene following the incident and returned to her residence in St. John, Indiana. She was later taken into custody by local police the same day. A firearm believed to be connected to the case was also recovered.
Officials stated that the relationship between Strouble and Lambert had been unstable. Lambert had recently marked a period of sobriety, according to family members and investigators. The couple shared two young children.
Court and law enforcement records indicate that deputies had previously responded to a domestic-related incident involving the pair. That situation resulted in Strouble being involuntarily committed earlier this year.
Family members of Lambert expressed their grief following the tragedy, describing the loss as deeply painful.
Strouble is currently being held in an Indiana jail and is expected to be extradited to Illinois, where she will face the charges filed against her.
