Massachusetts Man Wins Multi-State Lottery Prize, Says Grandchildren Are His First Priority

SOUTH DENNIS MASSACHUSETTS, Some grandchildren may have reason to celebrate after a Massachusetts man who recently won a major lottery prize shared how he plans to spend his winnings.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Stephen Foley of South Dennis won a prize of $25,000 a year for life in the multi-state Lucky for Life game after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those selected in the February 14, 2026 drawing.
Foley claimed his prize on Tuesday, March 3, at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. He selected the cash option and received a one-time payment of $390,000 before taxes. Foley said he plans to use the winnings to treat his grandchildren.
The winning ticket was purchased at Willow Tree Market located at 15 Charles Street in Hyannis.
The Lucky for Life game has since ended, with its final drawing held on February 21, 2026. Officials said that prizes from the game must be claimed within one year from the date of the drawing.
