MINOT AFB, A man was detained Monday at Minot Air Force Base after officials became aware of threatening statements related to a potential shooting, according to base authorities.
In a statement, Minot Air Force Base officials stressed that there was no active shooter incident on the installation. The threats, they said, were made by a person of interest but were not specifically directed at Minot AFB.
As a precautionary measure, Security Forces increased security across the base and detained the individual on site. Officials also conducted security sweeps to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities.
