Teen Found Deceased in Towed Vehicle; Investigation Ongoing

Authorities in Los Angeles are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose body was found earlier this month inside the trunk of a Tesla that had been towed from the Hollywood Hills. The vehicle is registered to music artist D4vd, though officials have not suggested any wrongdoing or confirmed any direct connection beyond ownership.
Investigators noted that both Celeste and the artist appear to have a similar “Shhh…” tattoo on the right index finger. While this detail has prompted additional questions, detectives emphasize that they are still working to understand whether it holds any relevance to the case.
The vehicle had been parked in the same location for an extended period, first tagged by parking enforcement on August 27 and cited again on September 3. When it remained unmoved, it was towed on September 5 and taken to a local tow yard. Staff later reported a strong odor coming from the trunk and alerted authorities on September 8.
When officers arrived, they located Celeste’s body inside the vehicle. Due to the condition in which she was found, investigators are treating the case as suspicious and are reviewing all available evidence, including parking records, tow yard logs, and security footage.
Detectives are also working to determine a timeline for when the vehicle was last accessed and how it remained parked for such an extended period. Officials say they are examining all details carefully and will release additional information as the investigation progresses.
