Allen High School Placed on Lockdown During Police Response

ALLEN, TEXAS, Allen High School was placed on a hard lockdown Friday, Feb. 20, as law enforcement responded to the campus, according to the Allen Independent School District.
District officials stated that the precautionary lockdown was implemented while officers conducted a search of the school grounds. During a hard lockdown, students and staff remain secured inside classrooms or designated areas as authorities assess and manage the situation.
Officials have not provided specific details about what led to the law enforcement response. After officers completed their search, the lockdown was lifted and the campus moved to a “hold” status. Under a hold, classes generally continue as normal within classrooms, although hallway movement may be temporarily restricted to help maintain an orderly transition back to routine operations.
School representatives said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of students and staff. Parents were informed about the situation through official district communication channels.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. Additional updates may be shared as more information becomes available.
