Police Ask Public for Help in Unsolved 2023 Killing of 15-Year-Old Boy, SAPD Says
SAN ANTONIO, Police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to the 2023 killing of a 15-year-old boy on the city’s Southwest Side.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the shooting happened around 8:58 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2023. Investigators said Ethan Martinez left his apartment in the 6000 block of Ray Ellison Boulevard to meet several individuals in a nearby parking lot to sell vape cartridges.
Police said gunfire erupted shortly after Martinez arrived, and he was shot during the encounter. He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Crime Stoppers reported that surveillance video from the area shows multiple people present at the scene who may have witnessed the shooting. Investigators believe those individuals could have information critical to identifying the person responsible.
Authorities are urging anyone with knowledge about the case to come forward. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest related to the murder.
