Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle Outside Murfreesboro Kroger

MURFREESBORO TENN., — A pedestrian died Wednesday night after being accidentally struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Kroger store in Murfreesboro, according to authorities.
The incident happened at the Kroger located on Veterans Parkway. Emergency responders were called to the scene after reports that a person had been run over by a vehicle.
When first responders arrived, they found the pedestrian suffering from severe injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the incident appears to have been accidental. Officials have not released additional details about the driver or the events leading up to the crash.
The parking lot was temporarily secured while officers conducted an on-scene investigation.
