Louisville Police Charge Man With Murder Following Pleasure Ridge Park Stabbing

PLEASURE RIDGE PARK, A man was found stabbed to death early Sunday morning, prompting a homicide investigation by Louisville Metro Police.

Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers were called to a report of a person down in the 4800 block of Dixie Highway just after 6:30 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, police said they discovered a man who had suffered stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later in the day, police provided an update identifying a suspect in the case. Authorities said 33-year-old Joshua Burton was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing.

Police have not released additional details about what led up to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to review the circumstances surrounding the killing.
