Two Women Identified After Alleged Attack on Elderly Woman During Mardi Gras Parade

MARDI GRAS, two individuals have been identified on social media following an alleged incident during a parade in which an elderly woman was reportedly harassed and attacked.
Georgee Katherine and Katelynn Tharp have been named online as two of the people allegedly involved in the confrontation, which reportedly targeted an elderly woman identified as the mother of La’Precious Sha’Debra.
According to accounts shared on social media, a group of five individuals confronted the elderly woman during the parade, allegedly getting close to her, telling her she “didn’t belong there,” and refusing to leave her alone. The situation is said to have escalated when beer was thrown on the woman while children, including her great-grandchildren, were present.
La’Precious Sha’Debra described the incident as disturbing, stating that the group antagonized her grandmother and young family members, laughed at them, and continued their behavior despite attempts to calm the situation. She said the confrontation became so intense that her 4-year-old niece attempted to physically push the individuals away in an effort to protect her great-grandmother.
As video of the incident circulated online, social media users began identifying Georgee Katherine and Katelynn Tharp as two of the alleged participants. The women’s purported workplaces were also shared online, intensifying public backlash and calls for accountability.
