Lancaster Police Identify Teen Who Died Following Christmas Day Shooting
Los Angeles County officials have identified the teenager who died following a shooting on Christmas Day in Lancaster as 16-year-old Xowam Flowers, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, December 25, 2025, at approximately 1:10 p.m., when the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station received reports of shots fired in the area of 11th Street East and Angela Court.
According to a press release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau, deputies responded to the 1000 block of East Angela Court after receiving a call about a shooting victim. Upon arrival, deputies found a 16-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel also responded to the scene and provided emergency medical assistance. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim, later identified as Xowam Flowers, was pronounced deceased at the location.
Authorities reported that four additional individuals were injured during the incident. A 17-year-old female juvenile, a 15-year-old male juvenile, and two adult males, ages 19 and 29, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
At this time, investigators have not released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including information about suspects or a possible motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
