Hammonton Community Mourns the Death of Michael Montalbano

HAMMONTON, Family, friends, and community members are mourning the loss of Michael Montalbano, a beloved son, brother, and friend who passed away on Monday, January 5.
Michael was deeply cherished by his parents, Joe and Sharon Montalbano, and was surrounded by a family whose love and devotion to him never wavered. Those who knew him remember Michael as kind and gentle, someone whose presence left a lasting impression on the lives he touched in Hammonton and beyond.
In the days following his passing, the Montalbano family gathered privately with loved ones to honor and celebrate Michael’s life. A private service was held on Sunday, January 11, bringing family and close friends together in remembrance, prayer, and reflection.
In a message shared with the community, Michael’s father, Joe Montalbano, expressed gratitude and faith during an extremely difficult time.
“Sharon and I and our family thank God for the strength to be able to endure the loss of our son Michael,” he wrote. “We will forever love him and miss him. Michael is okay now because he is in the arms of God. Our family came together this past Sunday for a private celebration of Michael’s life. Please accept our humble thank you for all the prayers and love poured out to our family.”
Joe Montalbano also noted that the support shown by family, friends, the church, and the broader community has helped provide the strength needed to move forward.
While Michael Montalbano’s passing has left a deep sense of loss, his memory continues to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for the love he shared, the relationships he built, and the lasting impact of his life.
