Fatal Plane Crash at Provincetown Municipal Airport Claims Pilot’s Life

A small aircraft crashed at Provincetown Municipal Airport in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, killing the pilot, according to local and federal authorities.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the airport after reports of a plane down on or near the runway. First responders located the wreckage and confirmed that the pilot, the sole occupant of the aircraft, had died at the scene.
Officials said the crash occurred during flight operations at the airport, though it remains unclear whether the aircraft was attempting to take off or land at the time of the incident.
No other injuries were reported, and there was no damage to nearby structures, authorities said.
The airport was temporarily closed as emergency personnel secured the scene and investigators began their assessment.
