Authorities are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead inside a Fairhaven home Wednesday night, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn.

The individuals were identified as Rafael Pedraza, 60, and Brenda Rosario, 51, both residents of Fairhaven.

Fairhaven police were called to a home at 22 Jameson Street just after 7 p.m. to conduct a welfare check. When officers arrived, they discovered both individuals deceased inside the residence.

District Attorney Quinn said a preliminary investigation found no signs of forced entry into the home. Police reported locating drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics inside the residence, though officials emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing.

Both Pedraza and Rosario were transported to the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where autopsies will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
