ELLA JOHNSON, A Washington University in St. Louis student who had been reported missing earlier this month has been found dead, with authorities indicating the death appears to be a suicide. The family confirmed that Ella Elizabeth Johnson, a member of the WashU Class of 2027, was discovered deceased outside her vehicle several days after she was reported missing.

Johnson was last seen in the early morning hours of January 14 in the 6650 block of Kingsbury Boulevard in University City. According to the University City Police Department, she left her home around midnight and drove away, leaving her phone behind. When family members were unable to contact her, police issued an Endangered Person Advisory.

After several days of searching, Johnson was found dead outside her vehicle. Her family confirmed the discovery and stated that the circumstances indicate her death appears to be a suicide. Law enforcement officials have not released further details and said the investigation remains ongoing.
