Authorities Investigate Deaths of Woman and Two Children in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN, three people were found dead inside a home on the city’s southeast side Tuesday morning, prompting an active police investigation.
Officers were called to a residence on Worden Street near Kalamazoo Avenue at approximately 7:43 a.m. on January 27 after receiving a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police discovered an adult woman and two children deceased inside the home, according to Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Winstrom.
Chief Winstrom said the two children were believed to be teenagers, though authorities have not released the identities of any of the victims.
No suspect was in custody as of Tuesday. However, Winstrom told FOX 17 that officers observed tracks in the snow near the home, along with other evidence that could provide potential leads in the case.
Police noted that the residence did not have a history of prior calls for service. The chief described the area as a quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
