Fordham Park, New Cross: Authorities Respond After Person Dies; Investigation Underway

Southeast London — A police investigation is underway after a person died following a stabbing in Fordham Park, New Cross, on Tuesday night.
The Metropolitan Police said officers responded to reports of a stabbing near Clifton Rise, close to the Fordham Park area in New Cross Gate in the London Borough of Lewisham. Emergency services attended, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police cordoned off sections of Clifton Rise and parts of Fordham Park to secure the area and allow forensic teams to carry out initial work. Detectives are continuing enquiries, including reviewing available CCTV and speaking with potential witnesses.
