Decatur House Fire Claims Life of 62-Year-Old Susan Beck, Investigation Underway

According to Decatur Fire and Rescue, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 1:45 a.m. after reports of a house fire at a single-family residence in the 1200 block of Seton Avenue Southeast. Crews worked through the early morning hours to bring the situation under control and prevent the flames from spreading to nearby homes.
During firefighting operations, responders conducted a search inside the residence and located one person.
