West Price Hill Community Remembers Awfwhite Jett After Fatal Crash Investigation Begins

A tragic crash in West Price Hill early Wednesday morning has left the community mourning the loss of Awfwhite Xking Jett. The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. along West 8th Street, prompting an active investigation into how the collision happened and why one of the drivers left the scene.
According to Cincinnati police, the crash took place when a 2010 Ford Escape traveling eastbound reached the intersection at Rosemont Avenue and collided with a 2012 Acura TL that was moving southbound. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but officials confirmed that Jett, the driver of the Acura, passed away at the scene.
Police said the driver of the Ford Escape fled on foot, while a passenger stayed behind and cooperated with officers. Investigators are now working to identify the missing driver and are reviewing available evidence to understand the sequence of events.
