Authorities Identify Two Victims in Milwaukee Fatal Shooting

Two individuals have been identified in connection with a fatal double shooting reported Sunday evening near North 19th Street and West Congress Street in Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that one of the victims was 21-year-old Tommie Triggs, originally from Racine. Triggs, a former Horlick High School football player, had previously been recruited for college athletics and also served in the U.S. Army, according to those who knew him.
The first victim, identified earlier, was 56-year-old Develle “Big Dee” Gholson. Family members shared that he had been taking part in a birthday gathering prior to the incident and was regarded as a respected presence within the community.
Emergency crews responded to reports of gunfire around 7:34 p.m. Sunday. According to officials, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police reported that Gholson was found in the 1900 block of West Congress Street, while Triggs was discovered approximately one block away in the 4300 block of North 19th Place.
Witnesses in the area described hearing calls for help shortly after the incident, though authorities have not released details regarding a motive or potential suspects. No arrests have been made.
