Cleveland Buckeye–Woodhill Shooting: 59-Year-Old Timothy Wallace Killed

CLEVELAND OHIO, authorities have identified the victim of a fatal early-morning shooting on the city’s East Side as 59-year-old Timothy Wallace, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in Cleveland’s Buckeye–Woodhill neighborhood.

Police were initially dispatched to the 11700 block of Cromwell Avenue after reports of gunfire in the area.

While officers were canvassing the neighborhood and speaking with witnesses, they were informed that a shooting victim had been located nearby inside a vehicle.

Responding officers later discovered Wallace inside a parked car on Parkview Avenue suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical personnel transported him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

During the early stages of the investigation, authorities believed a possible suspect may have been barricaded inside a residence on Cromwell Avenue.

As a precaution, SWAT teams responded and conducted a search of the property, but no suspect was located.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and investigators have not released any details regarding a possible motive.

The case remains under active investigation as detectives continue working to identify those responsible.
