Officials reported that the driver, identified as Emily Berry, was wanted on two active Boone County warrants for failure to appear and was also driving with a suspended license.

During the attempted stop, Berry allegedly refused to provide identification, though she acknowledged her name when addressed by officers. When informed about the outstanding warrants and asked to exit the vehicle, she reportedly fled the scene.

Police initiated a pursuit as Berry drove north on Highway 63, reaching speeds of up to 105 mph. Authorities stated that she attempted to evade officers by trying to exit onto Discovery Parkway and Grindstone Parkway in Columbia but was unable to do so due to her speed.

The pursuit came to an end when Berry slowed down because of traffic conditions south of Stadium Boulevard on Highway 63.

She was taken into custody without further incident.
