Jonah Johnson Identified as Victim in Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Walker County

WALKER COUNTY ALABAMA, Authorities are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 29-year-old man Thursday night in Walker County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the victim has been identified as Jonah Evan Earl Johnson, a resident of Carbon Hill.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. Thursday along McDade Road near Atkins Road, less than a mile south of Carbon Hill.
Officials said Johnson was driving a Ford F-250 pickup truck when the vehicle left the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation.
The truck then struck a utility pole and overturned, according to officials.
Investigators reported that Johnson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
During the collision, he was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding authorities.
The crash remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency as officials work to determine the circumstances that led to the vehicle leaving the roadway.
