Merrillville Grandmother Felicia Jenkins and Husband Found Dead, Investigation Underway

MERRILLVILLE INDIANA, A Merrillville community is mourning after two people were found dead Friday morning in what authorities are investigating as a suspected murder-suicide.
Officers with the Merrillville Police Department responded to the 7600 block of Van Buren Street following a report of an assault involving a firearm. When officers arrived at the residence, they discovered a man and a woman deceased inside the home.
Preliminary findings indicate the incident is believed to be a murder-suicide. Authorities have not released specific details about the events leading up to the deaths.
The individuals were later identified as Felicia Jenkins, described by loved ones as a devoted grandmother, and her husband.
