UNLV Shooting Incident Prompts Lockdown at University of Nevada, Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, The University Police Department is investigating a reported shooting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Friday evening, Feb. 20.
Law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the campus after reports of a possible active shooter situation. Authorities have not confirmed how many individuals may be involved or whether any injuries have occurred.
An emergency notification sent through UNLV Alert instructed students and staff to remain indoors while officers responded to the incident. The campus community was advised to shelter in place and wait for further directions as police worked to secure the area.
Multiple law enforcement units responded and carried out a coordinated operation across the campus. Officials have not released information about a potential suspect or whether anyone has been taken into custody.
