19-Year-Old New Jersey Student Killed in Fatal I-95 Accident, Authorities Say

SIENA BRACHELLI, A beloved 19-year-old college student was killed over the weekend after losing control of her vehicle and crashing into a guardrail along Interstate 95, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Siena Marie Brachelli, of Chesterfield, New Jersey, died on Saturday, January 31, 2026, after the crash occurred on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia.
Authorities said the incident happened on the northbound side of the highway near Exit 32 (Academy Road) at approximately 11:36 a.m.
Police reported that Brachelli was driving a white Acura MDX in the left lane when she lost control of the vehicle and veered into the left shoulder.
The vehicle then struck a guardrail and overturned into the median, investigators said.
Brachelli was pronounced dead at the scene, and her next of kin were notified.
Brachelli was a political science major at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. She was a member of the Delta Psi chapter of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and worked as a service supervisor at Ordinarie Heros.
A 2024 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, she is survived by her parents and brothers.
The crash remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, who have not yet released further details regarding what may have caused Brachelli to lose control of her vehicle.
